# What is the verification process/OnFido? How can I trust that my information is secure?

## Identity Verification Process

After creating an account, investors will be prompted to submit a KYC check, which will verify their identity. This prompt will be a banner towards the top of the screen after logging in to their Percent account.

Investors can also initiate the KYC while navigating to their account settings by clicking on their name in the top-right corner.

We use a third-party service called Onfido, which is a service that many banks and other fintech companies use for identity verification. The information is never passed to us and resides on their servers. You can take a look at their security measures to protect your information here - https://onfido.com/us/security/
