# How does the first time investor promotion work?

Investors who make a first investment of at least $5,000 in a **single offering** are eligible for a bonus. The promotional credit will be automatically applied to your account **three months** after the close date of your first investment, as long as the funds remain invested; there is no other action you need to take once you realize your first investment.
